Live switch and live stream up to 8K — in the cloud.
The 8Kloud System is a set of broadcast workflow tools
that carries a show from the camera to the viewer: contribution from
the venue, switching and recording in the cloud, and delivery to an
origin your audience can play. Each module does one job well, and
they are built to work together.
8Kloud Connect gets the show out of the building. Everything after it runs
in the cloud — switching, recording, encoding, and packaging — so the
on-site footprint stays small and the production scales with the event.
Modules
Six modules. Use one, or use them all.
Every module is a standalone tool with its own browser-based interface.
Deploy the whole chain for a full cloud production, or drop a single
module into a workflow you already have.
8Kloud Connect
On site · contribution
The 8K on-site contribution engine. Connect takes the camera feeds
coming out of the production and gets them up to the cloud intact,
at up to 8K, over the connectivity the venue actually has.
Contribution at up to 8K from the venue to the cloud
Feeds the rest of the 8Kloud System — Switcher, Raw Recorder, and beyond
Small on-site footprint; the heavy lifting happens in the cloud
8Kloud Raw Recorder
On site · raw capture
Captures the sources at the venue, at full quality, before contribution
or any re-encoding. Raw Recorder is the safety net and the
post-production master: every source, kept as it came off the camera,
recorded for the length of the show.
Records every source on site, unaltered
Per-source files for post, independent of the live cut
Runs alongside the live production without touching it
8Kloud Switcher
Cloud · production
Live production switching in the cloud, at up to 8K. Cut between
sources, build the program feed, and drive the show from a browser —
with no switcher to ship, rig, or power at the venue.
Live switching between contribution sources at up to 8K
Browser-based control — operate from anywhere
Program output feeds Recorder and Streamer directly
8Kloud Recorder
Cloud · capture
Multi-source recording, straight to disk, with a browser UI. Recorder
captures up to eight sources at once into growing files that an NLE
can open while the show is still running — so the edit starts before
the event ends.
Up to 8 simultaneous sources, each to its own file
Growing files that open in an NLE mid-record
No transcoding and no re-encoding on the way to disk
Browser UI for source selection, preview, and transport
8Kloud Streamer
Cloud · delivery
Takes the program feed, encodes it, and sends it on — to 8Kloud Origin,
to a CDN, or to whatever destination the show requires. Built for
unattended operation, event after event.
Encodes and delivers the live program output
Feeds 8Kloud Origin or an external destination
Designed to run unattended for the length of an event
8Kloud Origin
Cloud · packaging
A live SRT-to-HLS/DASH origin server. Origin takes the contribution
stream, packages it into CMAF segments, and serves live HLS and DASH
for playback — with per-channel configuration from a web GUI.
SRT ingest, in listener or caller mode
CMAF (fMP4) packaging with live HLS and live DASH output
ABR ladders — the source is the passthrough top rung
Low-latency LL-HLS and LL-DASH, opt-in per channel
Multiple concurrent channels, each with its own ingest and URLs
Web GUI with live stats and a built-in preview player, plus a REST API
Why 8Kloud
Built for 8K, built to work together.
8K all the way through
The resolution ceiling is designed in, not bolted on. Contribution, switching, recording, and delivery are built to carry up to 8K end to end.
Less gear at the venue
Only Connect travels. Switching, recording, encoding, and packaging all run in the cloud, so the on-site kit stays down to what fits in a case.
Modular by design
Each module stands on its own and speaks standard protocols. Run the full chain, or use a single module inside the workflow you already have.
Tell us about your show.
Every production is different. Describe the venue, the camera count, and
where the stream needs to end up, and we will map it onto the 8Kloud System.
